Austrian electricity incumbent Verbund is bringing on line a 225MW onshore wind farm in Romania.
Around half the turbines have now been connected to the Romanian grid with the rest to follow by early 2014, the company said on Thursday (6th June).
A planned expansion could then take capacity to 280MW by 2016, with Verbund saying the Dobrogea site of the €380m wind farm is one of the windiest regions in Europe.
