A 100MW wind farm has been connected to the Romanian electricity  transmission system, plant owner Austrian electricity company Verbund announced  in a statement on Monday (10th September). 
The Casimcea wind power plant is  based on the Black Sea coast, 250km east of Bucharest. The facility is expected  to produce 240GWh annually, which should be enough to supply around 155,000  households. 
The facility will be expanded by  another 100MW, which is currently under construction and set to come on line  next year. 
The investment cost of the whole  200MW wind project will amount to around €340m.
